I've always had a fascination for the phoenix. The idea of rising from the ashes and gaining new life with such an elegant and majestic appearance has always been a good metaphor in life for me. I hope that my depiction of this brilliant creature does justice to the legacy it's left behind. Enjoy.Related content

I agree with your statement about the metaphor of the life: I simply love the phoenix: now I'm wondering a story where the phoenixes are the protagonists.

This is absolutely amazing. I used this as a base in a recent tattoo that I got done. It doesn't look as great as the original, but I still love it. I hope it's alright with you that I used it. I got so excited that I forgot to ask for your permission. I'll upload a picture of it on my profile for you to see.

Very nice. I like the shading; it seems to suit this picture more than if it was colored. The tail is really beautiful; though with the angle the phoenix is at, the tail kind of gives the Phoenix a look of being a bit bottom heavy, as though the tail is causing it to droop. But that's me being nit-picky; I probably would not have even noticed had I not looked at the picture a bit.

I appreciate the feedback. and I know exactly what you mean about the tail, I always saw it as a pedestal holding up the phoenix in a statuesque pose. but that was not intentional and I agree with you, it does seem to weigh the bird down, that's something to keep in mind for future drawings haha

it's gorgeous, and I can't stop staring at the tail, but I dunno I guess I can't quite get into how looks so kind. Maybe i'm just being picky, but I see the phoenix as magestic but detached, above influence or emotion, still either way it's beautifully done, triple thumbs up
