Yes, a large salty could probably get up to 5,000lbs per sq inch of biting power, however, the shark gets around 6-700lbs. Still puny in comparison to the croc, but you must realize that both animals have distinct advantages that make this an even fight. For example, the shark sacrifices brute jaw strength for razor sharp teeth that shred flesh with ease, while the croc's teeth are blunt in comparison and rely on heavily muscled jaws to dismantle its prey. You also have to consider that sharks are better suited for the deep open ocean better than salties. Salties are excellent ambush predators and are capable of chasing some of there prey down, the only problem is that in a big ocean there are immense amounts of water with just a few islands. With this said the salty would probably stay relatively close to the surface until it finds more land or relatively shallow water. Salties do go underwater in the ocean, but they usually stay closer to the surface because of the great distances they would travel and the need to breath air. Knowing that most great white shark attacks happen from below, If a great white were to see the silhouette of the salty and investigate with a deadly bite to the stomach, the croc would probably bleed out. With this said and considering the hunting tactics of both creatures, I still say its an even match, but it does lean a little more to the side of the croc in a face to face fight.
