Description
This was originally drawn as a sidebar illustration for my fic 'Shades of Gold' (available on ff.net - [link] ), though when I wrote the scene this went to, it came off a little differently than the illo - still, it seemed worth finishing.
In the story, Alphonse is 29, hence the more mature (and nicely filled out) body. *ahem* This is dedicated to and for just being themselves. I hope you guys like it.

"M" hasn't seen it yet - I made her a poster of it but she wasn't at class tonight so I couldn't give it to her. "K" wants to take it to school tomorrow and give it to her. She'll have to tell me how it's received.

Every time I go back to it, some image kicks into my brain and I have to draw it! I've got most of chapter 3 done too and the whole thing is plotted just waiting for me to put it on paper... *sob* I'm such a schmuck - for all the times I've complained about writers not posting timely updates, I'm MONTHS late...
I promise! I will finish the chapter I am working on before I do another illo - you may beat me with a herring if I don't (Monty Python reference - sorry).

I did submit it to Pinups, but they haven't replied yet. I'm having a lot of trouble getting my stuff in groups lately. I don't know if they're burned out from my work or if the 'submit' feature at dA isn't working quite right. Hoping it's the latter...

Hey, I noticed that you are one of the admins at the FMA-Pinups group. Can I ask you something? Several of the pieces I've submitted to groups lately haven't been acknowledged. One I left on the submissions list for a group for a week until it was automatically dropped but then that group later asked for the same pic. I've had some hints that the stuff I've submitted is not making it into the inboxes and I was wondering if you could check the submission I made of this piece to the Pinups group? I know in at least one case, a submission didn't make it to the group's submissions folder due to a site glitch and I wanted to make sure this picture didn't suffer the same fate.
Getting rejected is one thing, but I don't want to be at the mercy of a computer error. Thanks.

This piece has already been submitted to the group, actually by accident I submitted it a second time not realizing that you already had! It is currently pending full group approval and should be added to the gallery soon. I'm not certain about issues with other groups but I will say that as hard as we try as far as the fma-pinups group is concerned it takes seven votes from our eight contributors to move an image to the gallery and sometimes the time limit is surpassed and you'll be asked to resubmit. If that is ever an issue please just note myself or one of the other administrators and if we look at it and come to the conclusion that the picture would have been accepted but was just missing one or two votes we will either have you submit it again, or submit it ourselves in which case the process is much faster.

Oh, it does help. Thank you for taking the time to reply and explaining the process. The group I was trying to submit to was FMA-Brotherhood and when I sent them a note, the gal who answered it said they didn't have the submission even though I had a submission notice in my 'correspondence' list. What ended up happening was she had to submit it - something within their setup on the site made it so that nothing I submitted was getting through. I was worried that glitch was also affecting my submissions to other groups.
