Closeup of the Moon crater Plato from last evening
The image above shows a closeup capture of the well-known Moon crater Plato.
The diameter of this crater is around 101 km, the depth approx. 1,46 km.
If you look closely, you can detect two very small craters located next to each other inside the Plato crater (top).
They have a diameter of almost 2km. Some telescope fans say that it's a quality test for an amateur telescope to make them visible.
