Description Because we need ANOTHER Conny Refit mesh out there. Converting Guitar EC's Blender conversion of D. Bailey's Enterprise, cristened the Exeter 1706-A

I've got most of the texturing now to tackle the lightrigging.

Background is Afterlife Nebula by here [link]

I am a bit biased to this one because this is the first Enterprise model I ever got way back when I first started using blender, but I feel this is the best refit mesh out there!

Good composition overall, but I noticed something odd. Maybe I'm mistaken with this being an error, but what's up with the aft plates of the nacelles? Looks like they became transparent somehow.

The perils of conversion! I have since corrected the issue. That material path needed Double sided set!

Ah ha, I usually try to leave stuff single sided myself, saves memory and whatnot. Some of the objects I put in default themselves to double sided, though. That's especially true of 2d surfaces. Then when I extrude them and try to do a boolean with them, somtimes I wind up in a whole world of hurt. One surface is facing one way, but some others have normals oriented in opposite directions, making the whole thing a funky mess.

Another beautiful work of yours Can't help but fav it.
And - if I may ask - does your avatar mean that you're a Warhammer 40k fan?

Thank you! More of a Eisenhorn/Ravenor fan.

Thought so! "Eisenhorn" was a first WH40k book I've read, and still my favorite one. I'm also an active Warhammer tabletop game player, both 40k and Fantasy Battles. And I have an Inquisition army - Daemonhunters (Ordo Malleus) though, for Games Workshop still doesn't want to make an Ordo Xenos codex for some reason...
Anyway, it's good to see another inquisition appreciator here

I am reading the Ravenor Omnibus right now. Have read the first two before, and just started the 2nd one again. May the God-Emperor keep watch on you, because the Ordos Heriticus is...

I've read that too... All I can say is that Ravenor is a very unusual character, to say the least. And not because of the state he's in.
And Ordo Hereticus has probably read our comments by now

I will have to get permission from the mesh authors, but one day I hope to.
