Since all the other pics already have some sort of critique - I'll write here
Nice idea to focus on the silhouette of the plant. So b&w is best choice here.
The smooth background also works well - but the dark area in the bottom left is a no-go. It creates a huge imbalance in the picture.
Maybe I would position the plant more to the right - but thats just personal taste.
