What an amazing piece! I love the dolphin's expression: it's beautiful and really dolphin-like. And those little fish are gorgeous! Like Dave pointed out: the depth really adds to the painting.

Oh I just love this! The dolphin face is awesome! The only thing I can nitpick at, is that I think it would look a little better if the dolphin was actually looking at the fish.
But awesome anyway! : D

The killjoy in me is pointing out that those aren't angelfish, but butterflyfish (specifically, one of the bannerfish species)
As for the painting itself, the only flaw I can see is the dolphin's lack of genital slit/mammaries and umbilicus, but I could understand that being an aesthetic choice.

I knew they weren't angelfish but I was too lazy to figure out what they were last night so I just slapped that title up there, lol, it's better than "dolphin painting" or "dolphin and company". I didn't add those details for lack of photo reference, I need to dig up my old Sea World photo I sketched the pose from

First of all, I really love the title. It goes along so well with this piece. The lighting effects through the water and on the dolphin are incredible. I like the sense of depth with the smaller fish, how some of them are further away and faded while the others are closer. And the positioning of everything is great too. You've totally got that contest won.
