Part 3 of 7 Chakra series.This is a representation of the Throat Chakra which is located in the neck. This chakra is a sky blue color and is associated with taking responsibility for ourselves, expressing ourselves truthfully, and communication. Through this chakra we can express our wisdom to others. Good speakers have a well developed throat chakra. Coming in from the top of the chakra is what is left of white light energy (white light contains all colors) after the white light energy has had the violet and indigo energy metabolized out of it from higher up chakras. After white light energy passes through the throat chakra, the light blue energy is metabolized out of it and the rest continues on to lower chakras. This chakra is seen with 16 petals each containing a different vowel from the Sanskrit language. Eucalyptus and Turquoise are powerful stimulators of the Throat Chakra. The astrological symbol for the planet Mercury, which rules over communication, is connected with this chakra. In India the elephant is associated with this chakra because it indicates the inherent power and strength that can be developed from this chakra. The white jagged lines represent the sound waves emitted from the throat when speaking. The sky in the background is to show that visualizing a bright blue sky can help to energize this chakra.

Do you know why the throat represented by Taurus ? I could never figure that out.

But Taurus is ruled by Venus ... and the neck is symbolized by Mercury ?

Well the energies of the zodiac signs and planets don't perfectly line up with the energies of the chakras. One planet contains some energies found in multiple chakras. Some chakras contain (or metabolize) energy that is found in certain planets. I choose mercury for this piece as sort of a general thing. Someone who has no or little knowledge of chakras and astrology could more easily relate the throat chakra with communication and by saying the planet mercury is communication they could see the connection. But both the throat chakra and the planet mercury have more different correspondences, aspects, or energies connected with them
i.e. Venus may be connected with the heart chakra in that they both deal with love. Venus could also be connected with the sacral chakra since these both contain the feminine emotions.

Well each zodiac sign is associated with a body part. Starting at the head is Aries, then neck taurus, and the rest of the signs in order go down the body ending at Pisces in the feet. Often a Taurus (or Taurus ascendant) will have a more pronouced neck, and the Taurus usually is more open to throat problems or could have a great voice/singing voice. It's just the way astrology works

I could stare at this for quite some time. And as always, your description is fun to read... nicely done! I like your layout too. It's clean and easy to understand for beginners, like me. My sister used to be a singer, and I remember than all her notebooks and folders while she was studying were blue... she said something about it being a good color for the throat chakra, and thatit helped her visualize it more when she practiced.
