Description
The 17. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division Götz von Berlichingen was the only SS unit to fight US paratroopers on D-Day in the Carentan area, along with FJR6. I've put my impression together based on the few photos of GvB we actually have. Most of them seem to be wearing dot camouflage sets or trousers with a M42 type II smock. They also had the StG44 as the first SS unit on the western front.
