Just a small thing to test new ink and new paper - both behaved wonderfully, much better than I expected *hugz them*subject is Tamasaburo in Heian get-up. Gorgeous thing he is ^-^~
very laconic style , since i didn't know how will the media react to my advances.

This is just stunning. Its simplicity is what is most alluring, and i must say i love the seeming coyness of the subject. Whenever someone hides behind a fan you cant help but want to step in and take a peek behind it, and here that urge is particularly strong. I mean i can almost see a smile behind that fan, and yet at the same time you can almost expect a dissaprooving frown.
Your crosshatching is always amazing to me, you really captured the look and texutre of fur spot on. Fantastttic work <3

it was not meant as fur but just a bit lighter patch of BG, but when i look now, I see what you saw^^. Sometimes i fall into my own trap, ne^^~
Yes, he seems liek he is doing the *heheheh* little content laugh behind his fan, probably another suitor just fell for him helplessly^^. But who knows, maybe when the spectator is in another mood, one can notice something else^^~
yes, i like to work with ink, when you need to cacell alot of lines, it's complicated, and result seems somewhat laconic, but i like it. In this style it's appropriate, tho sometimes I like to add some detailing... but "stricter" images just seem like more of my thing.

it's hand made something... has strong texture, that surprisingly does not go flat when you wet it - which is a great thing.
But where it came from, I'm afraid I dunno... I was surprised, usually no matter how lovely hand made paper looks, you cannot work with it well, not possible to delete from it or even draw a good line, since it's a bit fluffy - but this one has a kinda smoother surface.
