Description
This is a picture I took several years ago in the Bodyworlds exhibition by Gunter van Hagens. At the time I was a health care journalist and so had freedom to take pictures and speak to the staff - unfortunately Dr Van Hagan wasn't there at the time. It was amazing. You could see the awe on peoples faces as they examined the plastinated bodies and saw what truly lies beneath the skin. As a theatre nurse, used to performing operations alongside surgical teams, I was absolutely gobsmacked by the incredible experience - to see the anatomy so clearly displayed was incredible. As far as I know the exhibition is still touring - you should go, it will change you forever. [link]
