This painting is stunning. Is it digital painting or do you use traditional art materials?

Cool. I know how it can be. Everything can get a head of you from time to time.We had some company yesterday and I never sat down in front of my computer at all. It was fun though, a nice change of pace, it's occasionally good for me to remember that I'm not actually physically attached to the thing. LOL. Sometimes one might wonder.
Talk later Beltane Baby.

From a purely technical perspective, this is impressive, but beyond that I really dislike your depiction of Hatshepsut. She is way too pale for a Kemetic queen. Egyptians are seldom this light-skinned even today despite 2,500 years of mixing with various European and Middle Eastern groups. She should at the very lightest be olive-skinned, although a dark mahogany-brown complexion (like this ) would be best if you want her to look typical for her population.
Normally I don't go around DA correcting people for misportraying the Egyptians, as that is way too common, but since this is a very popular work I feel like giving a dissenting opinion.

Dude, you totally missed the program on the history channel talking about what she looked like. They confirmed that she was actually "dark" as you would call it. Take your prejudices somewhere else.

Whatever Brandon. Self taught critic too?
I'm happy with it and proud of it and since it's my art...that's what counts.

I just love this. I don't know how many times I've enjoyed it and attempted to comment without being able to find the words.
There's something in the facial expression that just leaves little doubt that you are in the company of divinity. Being named for or taking the name of the life force of Ma'at and Ra is a reflection of the power and wisdom behind the eyes.
Great Stuff! Hope to see more sacred art from you soon.
