Apparently they weren't actually high waist pants--it was a black bandage! Because of his wound. But it did look odd and was definitely because of the bandage and has nothing to do with Adam Driver (as someone once actually suggested to me) because he's been shirtless in other stuff lol (there's a modern solo AU on tumblr that uses screenshots from other things and he's shirtless in some of them)

They did look funny lmao, but they actually where normal pants! I forget what from, but he had an injury and the bandage was black, and the dark setting just blended them together because of either camera effects or an error in editing. Still looks funny tho-
