Description I desire power above all else, and no one can stop me!

Welp, another Splatfest come and gone. In this one, they decided to theme it around the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For the three teams, they centered it around the three forces of the Triforce: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. Although I'm not a big fan of The Legend of Zelda (those kind of games are a little too complex for me), I decided to join not just because it's the Splatfest, but considering the high level of praise the last Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, received, I thought I'd show some support for Tears of the Kingdom, which is very likely to receive the same amount of acclaim as its predecessor. I decided to join Shiver's team, Team Power, because of my friend, who has an affinity for villainous characters (since Team Power is represented by a silhouette of Ganondorf).

I played 15 matches in this Splatfest; I won seven of them and lost the other eight. One of those battles was against our own teammates. Once the Splatfest ended, we were given the results: Team Power swept every category, leading to a flawless 57-point win, while the other teams got nothing. Suffice to say, I was ecstatic when my team won, as it's the first one I've won since the Spicy vs. Sweet vs. Sour Splatfest back in January. It's also the first time Big Man's team didn't sweep the competition, as the previous instances of clean sweeps were from teams he represented (those being Team Water and Team White Chocolate).

For this artwork, I decided to draw Shiver more like how she appears instead of relying on her caricatured Tableturf card design. It was a little more challenging than I thought, but I'm proud of the end result. In order to really emphasize that this is a Zelda-themed artwork, I had the background feature a Triforce pattern and I put the symbol of Power behind Shiver. As for the fire, my main goal was to make her appear as menacing as possible. I tried to base the fire on how it appears in Breath of the Wild; it's not the best result, but it was probably the best I could do, since fire is pretty difficult to draw.

Hope you liked this artwork, and here's to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
