Description
Wanted to do a Gaara for some time now. Somehow, I couldn't find any lineart of him I was completely satisfied with. And if I did found something, it was never free for coloring by others -_-'So instead of coloring, I've decided to paint myself, using a couple of images from the manga as a reference.
Not everything is perfect yet, some parts are not shaded optimally...
Gaara done completely in Photoshop CS3
Background was done in Corel Painter X

The sand, face and hands etc, though are perfect. I especially love the colouring of his hair and eyes. And the sand is gorgeous

I used several manga picture references for this one, that's probably why the shoulder area looks a bit off... ^_^'
I knew it wasn't entirely right, but I couldn't quite put my finger on how to fix it.
As for the gourd symbols, I was going for a close to black red, I never like to use pure black for some reason...
Kinda backfired on me I guess.
