It's been TOOOO long since I did one of these.Anyways. Here's #90 in my FE 100 challenge [link] :
Rain
It's Soren. Being emo. and awesome.
One time, my friend and I made lists of our top five characters ever from every FE game and, without any sort of discussion, Soren took #1 on both of our lists.
So yeah. Soren rulz 4 lyfe
Mmm.... in terms of the drawing, this is exactly what I wanted in some ways... but very much not in others :/
oh well. I guess I need to keep practicing.
If only I didn't have to waste so much time on pointless stuff like "school" and "work" and "being social" when I could be drawing. sheesh.

The rain is excellent, I know how hard it can be to make people even look wet, much less draw rain without looking like an idiot for trying. You did great! I also like the sunlight effect, though I'ma bit confused as to why it's there, considering it's a rainstorm.
One little side note, I can't really tell, are Soren's eyes brown in your picture? Because they're supposed to be red. Like I said, I really can't tell, so it could be me. Very nice job!

His eyes are red... although the screen that I'm looking at now does kind of make them look a little orange. The color might not have transferred well to deviantart :/
As for the sunbeam in the rainstorm, I'm with you; it looks weird. This particular piece came from a phase in my artistic life where I didn't feel like a drawing was "finished" unless it had a lens flare. Um... that's really the only reason it's in the picture. I'd like to say I've come a little way since then. hahaha

This literally took my breath away. His expression-! It's too common to see Soren drawn all moe~ and chibi~ just because he's of small stature, but I think this piece really speaks novels about his true character.

GREAT colors. I like that you gave Soren a more realistic face (I'm starting to get tired of anime). And look at that expression-- so intense. It's just like him to go be emo in the rain.

Wow... the detail on this is amazing. I like the light you added to the cloak- it made the picture stand out more and add contrast. The rain is also a good background- it really adds emotion to the scene. His pose is good, and I love the way he is holding the book. Love it!
