They did! You have been a major help through this entire project, thank you so much for putting up with all my absences. If possible, I would love to still have you as an editor. Do you have an Ao3?

Though it may be a while before I post anything new. in transferring everything over, I've been editing as I go along. It's taken me all day just to edit Accident, Impulse, Affection, and I personally think it's much, MUCH better now than when I wrote it over four years ago. :3

There have been some ups and downs lately, but I'm still kicking. Thank you for asking. I'm not sure if I told you this already, but I went on the Atkins diet while you were away. I've lost some 70 pounds over the past year. That diet lives up to its press, if I do say so myself.

Our internet at home is pretty faulty, we don't know what's going on, and I haven't been able to use it, dA especially. It seems to be getting better on its own, though. I honestly just didn't think about coming on here until today, since I finished the chapter.

Yeah, we have a similar problem in our neighborhood with cell phone reception. And, AT&T's prediction about land lines being on their way to extinction - and, presumably, with AT&T's maintaining them following suit - didn't help us. Anyhow, first blush on the new chapter is all good. I did notice some places where some words or sentences could be substituted for better sounding ones. Take this, for instance:

You know how you say:

“…there’s news ,” he started, softly. “Lucia’s scouts have just returned from Felirae. Word of Faris’ capture has spread. Ludveck,” he cleared his throat. “Ludveck has an army.”

See if you like this better.

"...there's news," he started in a soft, grim tone. "Lucia's scouts have just returned from Felirae. Word of Faris's capture has spread, and the whole region is mobilizing."

"'Mobilizing?'" Elincia repeated, the chill at the base of her spine growing even more frigid.

"From what we've been able to tell," Geoffrey continued darkly, "with his assassin having failed, Ludveck has decided to take the throne through force of arms. He's preparing to come here...at the head of an army."

There are other places where smaller substitutions occurred to me. Things like replacing 'The Queen’s thoughts turned immediately to Ludveck, and what he must be planning now that he knew his name had been revealed' with 'The Queen's thoughts turned immediately o Ludveck, and what he must be planning now that his involvement in this plot had been exposed.' I'll come up with a more complete list and send it via a note later in the week. Right now, I need to hit the sack before I wind up using my keyboard as a pillow. Catch you later.
