Description
I wanted here to combine the illustrative paint marks with abstract forms as a way of displaying reality through the intuitive side of the mind.The focus fluctuates from complete detail to utter abstraction almost randomly on the canvas. This is because I want to show that the voyeur perspective of life is never decisive but always fluctuating in obedience and ignorance at any given moment.

I really love this combination of realism and abstract art, it looks strange and interesting... for me the abstract part looks kinda like a wound, but also, in a very strange way, very beautiful

You may want to check out Jenny Saville if you haven't heard of her, she does something similiar in some of her works.

you are unbelievably talented, that's all i have to say. when you look at the smaller size of the pictures, they look like photos because of the way you make the hair, the twinkle in the eyes....it looks almost real....you're AMAZING

interesting concept with the juxtoposition of genres and technique.
Look forward to seeing how these progress. Think this concept would work well on your boxing images as if the abstraction is the damage done through the brutality of the sport.

It's very interesting. You have amazing skill I'm sure you know. I, in my interpretation see the abstract as a "wound" showing pain in the subject's life. It also shows the delicate balance between perfection and ruin.
Not that abstract is ruin, it's just how I read this particular piece.
