Description Number 19: grey in the big 100

Ahhh ribbons are a pain in the eyeball. Yeesh.
The first time I've been happy with a drawing of a grey horse.
No crits on the proporions of his head please, he has a short head with a small muzzle, its the way he is.
His eye was a pain, because it was closed in the ref. and his owner wanted it open. Took ages to get it right, but I think its OK now.

Size= 21x30cm
Materials= printer paper, mechanical hb pencil, prisacolor pencils, Derwent drawing pencils, lyra blending pencil, fixative.
Time= 5+ hours

Its beautiful!! All the little details about the light etc. you have add is so amazing... And I like the background! The balance is great, the pony fit on the background, but same time come nicely out from it (hopefully you understand what I mean ^__^'').

You did a great job on it. I think its a very difficult task the owners gave you, drawing his eye open when it is closed on the ref pic. The eye of an animal holds so much personality. I think you did great.
