this si freeking awesome. shape, concept, deatail,(even texture,) all awesome. i especially like the concept. i doupt any toy would end up a high enough quality for it, but if done corectly it could end up pretty cool.
for some weird reason(probabaly reataining to my childhood) i'd like to see it as a beanie-baby or something. something soft, flexable and highquality.
the beanie-baby would have to end up some sort of 'chibi' verzion, but it would still look really cool.
btw- i'm not trying to force a reasponce to my post, but the writing...
the stuff on it's shell is kanji, but vertical letters on the rest of the page, what is that? it looks really cool and i'd liek to know.

Looks like a real old Asian painting. (I wanted to say Japanese but I'm not an expert so it could be either Chinese or sth. ^^' )
What kind of writing is you used? o.O
I managed to recognize some os the symbols on the shell (fish, rain, river) but the "side-notes" totally confused me. Doesn'T reminds me any of the writing systems I've seen so far. o.O

hahaha, the writing is actually just symbols i made up, i didnt want it to be a real form of writing, because i wanted it to look "alien" to anyone who viewed it

So cool! have you seen Patchtogether.com? You can submit toy designs and they create them. Then fans of the toy can buy it and I think you might get some kind of kick back. It would be neat to see this made.

Quite the design! I loved those stylized monster heads from your last piece, so I think this guy's tail is my favorite part. It's cute but a bit unnerving at the same time.

actually i really like it. sort of retro godzilla design to me.
only four points of articulation is kinda disappointing tho. if i were a kid with a godzilla toy, id want it to be as action pose-able as possible.
all in all, i really like this style that you've been working in. and maybe you dont believe me, but i would like to see where you go with it.... but if you want me to tell you it sucks... id be more than happy to be as nitpicky as possible.

i agree with the articulation points, i was going to have the two heads move as well, but for the audience i'm gearing towards (teen-20's) i figure the less articulation points the better. I cant imagine this toy being for a younger audience, since the heads already creep me out.
I'm really glad you enjoy it, and i do honestly hope i can continue using it in my career
And no nitpicking, i still have a critique to look forward to, you know?

Oh, it's such a fun game! I'm not much of a gamer, but Okami had me hooked from start to finish. And it's so stunningly gorgeous.
