"Snow", in Cantonese.

Of all my jewellery styles thus far (that is: chainmaille, wire wrap, and viking knit), although I've spent by far the least time on this one, I rather feel that I might have actually done something to further this field. Or at least, I for one have never seen viking knit chains embellished to such degree. Or even, at all.

To be honest, I was quite happy with previous pieces done with the viking knitting technique. I will, however, admit to feeling like I've done something special with this one, which is, perhaps even more incomprehensible than the previous ones (apparently) were. But making this piece was to some extent draining, and I did not quite arrive at the sense of accomplishment at the end of it, that I had expected. But that isn't really much of a concern, beyond that it is one of those pieces the beauty of which I seem able to forget, and even doubt, when I'm not looking at it. For serious.

Made for my mother, to wear for a wedding she's attending in two weeks. An early Christmas present.

(Incidentally, my 100th deviation in the Jewelry category.)
