haha, yes, she does get a lot of pretties nowadays, without needing to pay anything for them. XD
Thanks!

Yeah, "overload", "glamour" and "shine" are all words I would use to describe it, too. XD It's pretty weighty, but I think I could do it lighter.

Thank you, Ellygator! I love the pearl and crystal combination, but it doesn't always work.

I didn't think so. XD Actually, it helps a lot that I work very fast, though.

It isn't so bad. Just, one stitch at a time, so it's pretty tedious.

wow, that is so beautiful! It looks like it took you a long time to make. Very pretty pearls and nice match between the pearls and crystals.

Wow, so this is the piece you were talking about! So pretty! It feels very wintry and icy to me.
About the photo quality, I'm pretty sure the big problem here is the high contrast between the black backdrop and the necklace. The black backdrop is causing your camera to overexpose the white crystals and pearls, leading to glare and a "tinfoil" effect. I find that darker or more neutral backdrops help me photograph dark pieces, and lighter or neutral backdrops help me photograph brighter pieces (likewise, if you'd tried to shoot a dark piece against white, you'd not see the details on the piece, it'd just appear black and grainy). You probably wouldn't want to use white with a piece that's white or it'd disappear into the backdrop, but perhaps a nice ivory or tan or some other fairly calm pastel would work.
I've tried the daylight bulb thing that *elderarc is talking about and it works so-so for me. My pictures still come out a bit grainy if shot indoors, but that could just be because my camera is low-end. It definitely helps though if you have to shoot inside.

It's okay, I tried everything in mine, and only found one really suitable fabric; the rest were either too large of weave or the wrong colour. I find though that the flagstones in my back patio work extremely well and look kind of like sandstone. Maybe something like that?

Thank you so much, elderarc! I'm very glad you think it's beautiful. The picture's pretty crap, I'm trying to make a light box for photographs.

Ah, thanks for the tips! Sadly I don't have any daylight bulbs in any of the lamps at home, just fluorescent or warm bulbs, neither of which work especially well. Perhaps I'll look into purchasing a lamp and a daylight bulb. I'll need it if I use a lightbox, anyway.
