It's a little disappointing that I don't have a scanner, but y'know. What can ya' do?I was inspired to draw this after watching Howl's Moving Castle. If you've seen that anime, then there is obviously no DIRECT resemblance between this piece or that movie, but if you'll notice, I drew her face a bit rounder in this picture than I normally do.
Most of my drawings are really stiff and lifeless -- you can't really feel them jumping out of the page because the angles are so 2-dimensional. I feel that this gives it more LIFE. Thought I'd try something new.

I really like it. the pose is great. however, I do understand the feeling of lifelessness. I cannot get my drawings to show any emotion whatsoever. this lacks lifelessness, in my opinion.

Nothing, it's a beautiful pic, as in the drawing, but the hand and the pencil seem out of place and, to be honest, disproportinate when compared to the pic try not to mix them or at least stay in the same media. you drew the pic and tried to add the hand?

it's annoying, isn't it? the best advice i can give is to practice practice practice. and not watch anime that doesn't have "life" in it (like dragon ball z). the characters don't "move", if you know what I mean.

Yeah, I know... I also gotta study the mysterious principle of perspective... One that I've tried to evade since I remember but can't cause it's technically in my genes since my dad's an architect... DX
