I do too! WEll, mine's called Gizmo, but still. <3 My parents wanted to adopt a new cat, and they were at the shelter. There was a lady outside who was giving kittens away for free, that way they would have a better chance of being adopted, thus not put down. We accepted and our other cat has adjusted to her being around.

Oh really!?! That is so cool! I found Dexter under a cupboard in an abandoned house that was sold and supposed to be cleaned. I did the cleaning and found him and his mom and siblings, half scared to death, hidden away there. The new owners said they would keep the kittens till they would be old enough to adopt but they also led a crazed dog inside that cached the 4 week old kittens around the house and the whole cat family fled in panic. When they came back for food (the lived off the mice that infested the house) they where put in separate plastic boxes and cut off from each other, the mom could not reach them. 2 from the 5 kittens never came home but after a long discussion with the owners and a lot of phonecalls I found people who would be able to take the kittens in even when they where actually to young. I just could not leave them there. The new owners of the house wouldn't even led them in in the winter and refused to feed them, saying that they could hunt for themselfs. (and they said that they would take care of them!) It gets -40 here, no way that a kitten survives that (sweden). So I took Dexter in and the other 2 found homes too. I do know that Mom cat still runs around the house and sits in the window, looking inside, when the temp gets below the -10. Dexter was really scared at first but now he wants literally nothing else then lying in someone's neck. He is now my favourite So happy to see that someone else has also adopted her cat instead of buying it. My other cat Luna (who Dexter tries to kill so now and then but Luna is a better hunter so he always loses) is also an adoptee from an unplanned nest.

That's a sweet story that makes me want to slap the owners of that house. How anyone could do that to something so (occasionally) sweet and innocent confuses me. But I'm glad they've found homes.

Those people where batshit crazy. They could have brought the kittens to a shelter instead of knowingly letting their dog lose on the cats.

Our dog found our first cat actually. We were having dinner and we heard him barking and a cat meowing. We go outside and see a tiny, really skinny kitten backed up into a corner. Our dog wasn't trying to hurt her or anything, he was just trying to get us to come outside to see the intruder in his yard.

Those people should be treated the way they treat the animals. That goes for any animal abuser. >:I

I completely agree with that. And haha our only dog does that too, we got a squirrel baby that way. (and we found out that wild squirrels are not good pets ) but the dog gets mostly bossed around by the cats.

No they are not scary! They are adorable, just not really suitable as indoor pets. My Cindy stole the keys from my laptops keyboard and hid them on top of the refrigerator, slept in a big china vase and destroyed quite a lot in home. But it was the cutest thing I've ever had. In the beginning we fed him by hand with special milk and when he got bigger he would climb in circles on your clothes and then sit on your shoulder and jump to other peoples shoulders if they walked by. The dog never knew what he was supposed to do with it because he was not allowed to bark at it so he spend most of his time just staring at it, actually the dogs obsession with the squirrel was kind of creepy.
