waspinator was the best thing about beast wars.there is not nearly enough waspinator fanart out there. why fanartists haet waspinator?
i'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he is really hard to find ref pictures of.
hopefully will look better in color
pen and sharpie fixed up a bit in photoshop

Referance!? Bah! That's no excuse! I do him from memory!
(Which I'm sure has nothing to do with the fact that he was the 1st Transformer I ever owned, and I've probably transformed him about 1000 more times than all my other ones, so I know all his twists and turns in and out... hehe.)
Still, that's nice. Better than any I've ever done. I've only ever really doodled him... nothing refined and/or finished.
What I like about your Beast Wars drawings is they're kind-of half based on the toy, and half based on the show... your regular transformers may be that way too for all I know, but I notice it more on the Beast Wars ones... 'cause I own so many more Beast Wars toys, and have seen so many more Beast Wars episodes, personally. I can sit here, picking their parts apart with my eyes going, "That's from the toy... that's from the show... toy... show... kindof a little of both there..." heh...

i never really had any of the toys so i can't really say i'm incorporating the toy designs purposely, i'll use whatever i can find for referances but i'm usually going off of comic books, guide books, or 'how to draw' books. i could never do them from memory, i can't remember how all the pieces fit lol.
