I like this a lot. The small number of marks to convey all that feeling is great.

Is the purple halo a Photoshop thing? if so, I think the picture would be stronger without it. If you feel like it needs some kind of "frame" to keep the viewer's eye from wandering, then I would give the background some kind of tone. Your drawing is too good to need digital tricks.

You no doubt have heard the english expression "KISS" - "keep it simple stupid." I don't mean to suggest that you are stupid, but keeping it simple is almost always a good idea. (Your work has a kind of simplicity that my work could use.)

Oh, thanks for being constructive . Yes, in my younger days I often ended up with drawings that were "overdone", I'm trying to avoid this now...
