No, I dropped the color on when it was really wet to get the look. I don't like using salt very much.

I love the patterning on those wings and the way they join to the body. What materials did you use?

Watercolors. I used two seperate colors, let them dry, then used a qtip to blend. I used a watercolor pencil to make the details on the end of the wings.
