Description This is what I've been working on for the last 2 weeks.
It basically came to be because I needed to fill the empty wallspace by my bed
So I'm planning to print this out as soon as I get the time.

Inspired by princess mononoke, dinotopia, the longest journey and avatar (listening to the avatar soundtrack really helped the mood!) Creating the painting has been an adventure in it self, and I've painted, color adjusted, repainted, erased then painted again many many times, even twisted the painting in on it self.
I think I'm done now and satisfied, but who knows what I'll feel in a week or two... probably shouldn't print until then

So much detail in the foliage! Can't stop scanning the picture for another leaf or a flower I haven't seen yet in the first view. It's beautiful. :] Would you recommend the Longest Journey? It's been on my "to do" list for a while now but never really got around to try it.

Thank you so much! Yes, I would absolutely recommend the longest journey. It's one of my favourite games ever! The graphics and effects are a bit outdated, but the story and characters are timeless. Try it out

Wow, this is one of the most awesome forest paintings I`ve seen! And I loved seeing the step by step, great idea to put a smaller version of the painting itself in the middle, it really turned this piece around.

This is crazy beautiful. Details and colors compliment eachother very well, composition is close to perfection, and it really tells a story. Only critique I might have would be that the part closest to the camera could benefit from a little more blur, to get a better sense of depth. But that's just my opinion^^ Flott bilde!

Thank you so much! It was originally more blurry in the front, but I used a sharpen filter on the whole painting at the end, and so the effect disappeared. I'll make it more blurry again
