Description CA > Mojave Desert > Death Valley > Racetrack Playa

I think I had an orgasm for the whole 5 seconds the light was like this. I managed to pull the camera to my face and squeeze off exactly 2 shots, one at F14 and this one at F2.8. This came out exactly how I envisioned it which makes me feel very grateful indeed. That weekend was... amazing.

Vignetting was added. Other than that just curves and a bit of desaturation of the blue in the upper right.

Oh and this song kept running through my mind while toning this...

well very nicely done. the little bit of color plus the deep shadows make for a nice photo. it's has a very dark mystical feel to me.

Lovely! I do wish I'd made it up to the Northern portion of the valley that weekend - I stayed in the South mostly, but the lighting was beautiful there, as well.

it is. ( well if you live in a city it is I'm pretty sure that some where about 110 miles outside of LA there is some kind of hyper-dimensional veil that transports you to another world )

dude can't even express what an amazing day that was. the real luck is that the high school science class that a couple of minutes would be treating this as a jungle gym hadn't gotten there yet.
