Each time I look at Orroro, I am reminded of her mother first and then, regretably her father.

It was the early 80's and mutants were becoming more and more widespread around the world and a few of us like minded mutants formed a group called the Brotherhood. We were going to change the world and show normal humans how we could enlighten them. Her mother was a mutant who could generate winds with her mind codenamed Gale. A very beautiful african american woman who always spoke her mind and I think everyone in the group loved her for it. Yet one day she suddenly left the group. I never questioned why and after the dispute between Erik and myself that caused me to form the X-Men and the Brotherhood to taking a more extreme stance on how they would enlighten humanity, I tried to find her to no avail.

You can imagine my surprise when years later this lovely 18 year old woman shows up with the ability to weild elemental powers of wind and lightning. She had her mother's features and had been trained by her mother but her mother passed away and Orroro was told to seek me out, since her father had 'ran' out on them years ago.

I think I always knew, but was too afraid to find out and then came Onslaught. Erik and I had become merged by the insane mutant Madam Masque that I found out why Gale had left the Brotherhood. Her and Erik were having an affair and when Erik told her that he would not leave his wife, she left...pregnant.

I fear telling Orroro that her father is not only not dead but are arch rival, the Master of Magnetism, Magneto may have some dire consequences. I hope that when I do eventually tell her that she'll be able to forgive me for keeping this a secret from the both of them.
