Really interesting picture. I keep coming back to look at it. I looked up the lyrics to the song, but don't understand what's going on. Did a boy get chased by a bear up a tree and eaten?

Honestly, I feel like it's left up to interpretation. It's more of a design inspired by the song rather than a literal interpretation. What I took away from the song is a boy tripping and leaving blood on the snow. Could the boy have died? Maybe, if the boy might have tripped rather heavily and then is bled to death somewhere. Could the boy have lived? Maybe! The last thing I wanted to do was draw a little boy bleeding, I didn't think that would be in good taste. No where in the song was there a scarf in the tree, or a house on a hill, or footprints in the snow, it's all about what inspires your imagination and taking a story further.
