The clearest day of the year-- because painting any of the other days would be too dismal. :\That aside, this is the first piece to make me laugh until I cried. Before the final revision, it was THE most absurd thing I've ever painted.
Still pretty amusing, on some levels.Fun fact: This was originally started in paint chat, because I was trying to encourage myself to "doodle". Something went wrong.

Seeing smoke in the skies, mountains at the bottom sometimes resembling a sea and a huge flame star, it feels like a battle against environmental changes and the human factor.

Oh my gosh.
I still totally envy your ability to create so many awesome textures in an image. That smoke is absolutely fantastic with the way it swirls up and hellloooo armor details. I think the hints of grass on the fringe of the image look absolutely gorgeous, even if I know that's not supposed to be the centerpiece of the image. I like how the spear handle isn't totally straight, either! It gives it a bit of character.
