Description Another shot from Park Beach from tonight which was rather overcast.

I find Cokin filters a little frustrating for shooting seascapes, they seem so susceptible to the tiniest amounts of sea spray which is too common if the sea is rough. I love them though, one of the best camera related purchases I've made.

How much did your Cokin filters set you back?
How many filters do you have and where is the best place to purchase them from?
I've done a bit of research after seeing some of your amazing photos where you have applied a Cokin filter and I'm looking to get my hands on some.
haha. Nice photo by the way!

Tested my Hitech's 2 days ago under rough sea conditions (lots lots of spray, imagine I was cleaning the filter every second) they performed incredible both cast wise (no magenta cast) and even on the slight haze the sea spray created (even after cleaning the filter the salt left small marks) I was really amazed to see later on that none of my pictures had any kind of marks on it!

I got the full set directly from [link] (the maufacturer) the whole set (85mm) hard edge (the soft edge I heard is a bit softer than the rest eg Lee) goes for 30 UK pounds. I don't have Lee but from what I heard from other people the material is the same!

Wonderful shot. There is a way to reduce that "cokin problem" of yours. When shooting on long exposures move filter up and down and rotate it little on each side. Try that

Thank you Are you saying move the filter during the exposure? Interesting tip I'd like to hear more
