Description This vector piece is a little old.

I did this after the Santiago Bernabeu (Real Madrid's home) performance that earned him an standing ovation, in November 2008.

This is one of my very few idols. I'm a huge fan of Juventus FC just like my father is, my grandfather was and many from my family in Turin are. My first recollections of watching Juventus games were during the time Roberto Baggio was in the team, but it wasn't until Del Piero debuted with Juventus that I began to experience what it was like to root for a winning team.

As far as I'm concerned this man is a football legend. Has played his entire career for the same team. He has led his team to win 7 italian league titles (even if 2 were lately revoked cause of some shady deals by the team's managers), 1 Champions League title, 1 Intercontinental Cup, key member of the 2006 World Cup italian squad (champion), italian league top scorer in 2007-2008, Juventus' all-time leading scorer, Juventus' all-time leader in caps, 4th all-time leading scorer for the Italian national team, 6th all-time leading scorer for the Champions League, 11th all-time leading scorer of the italian league (he could be much higher if Juventus hadn't been penalized to the 2nd division due to a supposed match-fixing scandal). I could go on forever.

The fact that he decided to stay with his team when it was sent to the 2nd division, and more than that, convinced many of the other stars to stay, makes him a legend of Juventus. He has always been the best player in the team even during the years when some of this team mates like Zidane or Cannavaro were named "FIFA Football Players of the Year".

Anyways, I didn't want to just trace a pic and call it a day. I actually did a photoshop "frankenstein" out of 4 different pictures, to create a more dynamic pose, and then vector-traced it and added the background.

This year I've been witness to the worst Juventus ever, but at least Alessandro Del Piero, at age 35 (!), continues to be it's best player.
