Pictober 2023 - Day 7 - To Lay

The amount of effort required to lay the huge capstone on top of the large supporting stones of the Neolithic dolmen at Pentre Ifan in Pembrokeshire, west Wales is mind boggling. The capstone measures 5m x 2.4m x 0.9m, is 2.5m above ground level and is estimated to weigh 16 tonnes.
