I did this for my Art Appreciation class. My teacher wanted us to create a piece of artwork that expressed ourselves or thoughts with symbolism that would require emotional interpretation. It can mean just about anything since everyone will interpret it differently. However, I used special and personal symbols that make this piece very personal to myself. Perhaps YOU can find some symbolism of your own... :3-Done with Prismacolor markers on copy paper
-I am coloring the b/w version in PSE and will try to finish it asap

Wow, this can be a very emotional piece in a simple sense. I see the greatest depiction in the main set of wings as a longing for freedom. It makes me wonder. However, i would just love to do that stuff, but our poor dump of a school fired Karamianisha. She was the best art teacher ever. /.\

XD haha. It takes practice to be honest. I first drew people when I started to watch DBZ and that was as GREAT series to draw after because you learn GREAT muscular anatomy

Actually, ive hated DBZ so much i give myself a headache. My brothers like it, my friend likes it and even my favorite Manga artist considers DBZ a fav. However, i shall except your advice. Thank you. Btw, nomatter how stupid i consider DBZ, Final Fantasy will always be special. I love it!

XD That is okay I don't care if you don't like it. But find a series that you can connect with. Study it; get pics; really practice the body types. I still have a long way to go, but dbz worked for me X3. But everyone is different and needs a base point; just find one

I absolutely luff how you draw wings. Luff luff luff. >> They're so awesome and... fluffy... in an awesomely fluffy but not too fluffy kind of way in which they're cool but not omgahhthefuzz cool... meh?
I also luff the way you coloured it. With all of the highlightyness and the different colours. It is very nice.

Rargh, how'd you learn to color so well with those things? I have some and I can't get that kind of effect...

He's blind yet he holds a lantern, and he has no legs...This is like some mad alchemist messed with a demon, angel, and a human.
Hmmm....The lantern reminds me of a lurefish. Or whatever they're called. The ones that have the glowing light attached to their heads to draw in other fish.
And Sirens lure people to their deaths. ^_^
And I see several crescents, like moons. o.O So I guess that would represent darkness?
As someone else said, there definantly seems to be some sort of balance of the elements going on here.

I think it's intresting that ou chose "siren" as the title, when it seems that this image is quite the opposite of the classic Siren. But then there are reasons for everything, or at least one would like to think so.

Yes, I did mean for that. There are many reasons, but like I said, it is more for my own personal interpretation. I doubt anyone will ever completely 'get' what I made it to represent

Ooh!! Gorgeous wing mutation. I lo9ve the way you used the wings to outline the bottom. Sorta complete the picture without leaving it open.

lessee... a single horn..... what looks like a cracked lamp maybe?.... multiple wings, one set of 'angelic', one set of 'demonic', one set which turns from 'angelic' to more 'demoic'..... damages over eyes I guessing?...... Dragon tail..... wolf or cat like ears.......
