Description (Old timey newsreel voice) Dateline: Fake-gangster times! Stan the Crow and the 23 skidoo Hot Dog are in a dilly of a pickle with da Wildcat Mob! Looks like a one-way ticket to tommy guns and a box of Cracker Jack! What'll happen to our brave heroes and will they be swimmin' with the sharks? Go to *Granitoons 's page to find out!

(Regular voice) So here's my half of a trade with my ever-cartoony pal I tried staying with the black n white tone of his comic, and used only a pen, ebony pencil, a black marker and two shades of gray. As for the car, I tried to capture all of the best of 20s gangster cars there, so call it custom! I hope it's adequate, pal!

Oh, and they are (LtR): Hot Dog, Stan the Crow, Da Boss, Dino and Rocco.

So... Did you really use black and gray markers here of did you digitally edit this into grayscale?

By the way, the sky should be a bit darker, it's night time in that scene, right?

It's all gray and black markers alright! Though I am surprised I could get that done with just a few shades of gray! And I didn't want the pencils too dark or else the lines would show prominently. Oh well, just another thing to improve on!

I've always had a penchant for this era in history. Nice touch giving it a cartoon animal effect, reminding me of some of the old Merrie Melodies cartoons!

Super stuff here, you got the cast and that black and white 30's gangster/film noir vibe down to a T. And just as in the comics, that's some snappy dialogue there. Solid rendition of the mobsters' motor as well!
