Description
From the Big Island of Hawaii.Ended up getting 'trapped' by the flow and had to wait til sunrise before we hiked out. Same sunrise as [link]
The flow was moving very very slowly at this point which allowed me to get closer, well, as I could considering the heat. In the background you can see the plume from the ocean entry which is about 1mile (1.6km) away. That is where [link] was photographed.

I thought I might use it as a bkg for a character reference sheet. I hate all those bland backgrounds that I see. It's ok if you don't follow. I'm not very eloquent online.

It's like a little sheet that you stick a color palette and one of your characters on. I'm just an amateur, though. You're supposed to have a little description, highlights of the character, and stats as well. I hope you'll forgive me for saying this, but I'm surprised you hadn't heard of them by now.

Yeah, I tried photography. When my family gets together and goes on trips, though, my beautiful (kinda) pictures get sullied by family pics. Plus, I'm way too lazy to remember to load my pictures up on here.

Maui is good times, though bit more touristy. Hana side is very pretty (as you can see my latest images). You will enjoy for sure, and check out sunrise at Haleakela!

Looking very nice mate, very good processing indeed. I detect a little noise in the sky, not much though. Did you recover, or fill the foreground lava in the raw? What a contrast though, between the black, and the pink/purple clouds, and sky.

The hardest thing ever to shoot. Soooo much black. This was the very start of dawn too. Just a little bit of light goes a long way out there. I did no noise reduction as I am lazy for web. I think for the shot I either digital gnd' or gradient brush in LR. And some PS work as well to bring out the detail in the darks. Quiet a time

You mean perfect processing. No filters and crazy dark lava means post work always. LR makes this a fair amount easier with the gradient and adjustment brush tools. Combined w/ PS dodging/burning/shadow/highlight etc.
But yes, perfect exposure
