Thank you very much for the reference, I've never heard of that but did see some similarities when googled. I've often thought of doing a more updated version of this one so maybe I'll revisit it in the next few months.

Awesome piece! I really like how it gives a sort of epic sci-fi structure feel, and the symmetry is very cool.

Hey, thanks. This made me try hard to get Ultra Fractal to do 3D type work. Pain in the rear but sometimes you pull it off.

Very cool... I've never really done much with fractals before.. I did use Apophysis for about fourteen seconds, but I gave up on it because I couldn't get it to do what I wanted... I'm thinkin' I might check out Ultra Fractal, though, or at least put some more effort into it. Keep up the good work

Amazing.

dang....anyway I've overlooked this one, Jeff. I love the coloring and the elegante line management as well. You seem to manage this topic and this colour scheme very well, even if it means hard work. It has been worthwhile.

Thanks. This one kinda nudged me into trying to make UF a modeling program. Depending on the formula, I've had some success but it is a chore.

This is the most awesome fractal I think I have ever seen! It is pleasing to the eye, composition is excellent, and this piece has great interest in its fine curves and lines. The gradient once again is perfect, and the name befits the piece.

Thanks, I don't get much comments on this one, kinda gets overlooked. I was experimenting with trying to make a fractal look modeled when I made this one. Not the easiest thing to do and haven't tried it much after, but your feedback gives me motivation to try again.

How did I manage to miss that you submitted this? This is a really unique fractal image you've made here. It truly looks like a glass / crystal structure. You did an excellent job creating a 3D-like object and the colors combined with the textures really bring it alive. I love how the wavy lines along the "neck" look like polished areas of frosted glass. Brilliant.

Aeires In reply to rougeux [2005-06-01 00:44:10 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. I kinda feel there is more that I'd like to do with it but haven't found some solid enough structure to add to this. I think this was the first one after Technocracy and I wanted to give it more depth so I experimented a lot more with light on this.

A great follow-up on Technocracy! The colors on this one are flashy in a different way, more crystal-like. The way I look at it it feels like it's a central tower inside another, larger tower or dome, because of the background; something like an inner sanctum where only the ones in power may tread. Great work!

When I made this, I was originally trying for an outdoor city type image, but now it kinda transcended the original plans. I have one more for the series and them I'm moving on.

Very interesting shape. It fits your title perfectly. If I were to look at this without knowing you were the artist I would not have guessed that it's a fractal. (By the way that was meant as a big compliment!)

Nice work!

That's one of the best comments I've ever received.

It's always been my goal to take fractals to completely new places and show people there is more to them than the old ones were so common when they first came into the art scene.

Compliment well received.

You know, I think one has to understand Chaos Thoery to be able to appreciate fractals. Now that I actually know a little about it, it occurs to me that a lot more skill than I initially thought was required is required to make anything worth seeing as art. Wich makes what you do go from hard, to semingly impossible in my mind.

But there's no question, all one must do is browse your gallery to see that you definately know what you're doing.

This is a great piece. It really takes hold of you once you see it. I don't know where else to go with it, it's great and it really conveys itself well. Wich means I have to take it as you truly intended, no speculations about dreams and possible meanings from me this time.

Aeires In reply to bit666-6 [2005-03-30 04:05:36 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Never really bought into the chaos theory. To me, it's more of finding rythms in the infinite formulas. Takes a lot of work to find continuity, but if you have patience and perseverance, it pays off quite well. All the practice has made it easier to see what works and what doesn't.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

bit666-6 In reply to Aeires [2005-03-30 04:25:42 +0000 UTC]

But see, that just sounds like the chaos theory as it was explained to me. A pettern repeats itself until no new information is decipherable, but through closer inspection, even in chaos, the pattern exists. Or something to that extent.

Aeires In reply to bit666-6 [2005-03-30 04:35:28 +0000 UTC]

Never studied it in depth, but I've always thought it was about things not being able to be predicted. Everything can be predicted if all the parameters are known, but that's the problem, it's not easy getting all the settings measured, so they just say things happen randomly. I could be wrong, but that's what I get out of it.

18 plus 4 masks. I'm still fussing with it, so it's over 20 right now. Don't know if I'm going to keep at it, or call it done. Have to see what some more formulas do.

damn dood thats nutz but i think I have you beat on teh layers my max was little over 40 plus 5 masks and I had to use several different formulas including cutom once to get what I wanted... I will try to find that ufr file if you wanna check it out cause I deleted that fractal from my gallery awhile back.... I definately think you should continue to work on it its beautiful already but I am soo sure you will make so much more carzier peace man
