Description Another rainy day file I had sitting around. If you use apophysis, it's good to have a temp folder. Anyway, after fighting insomnia for hours last night, I decided to finish this, and I hate to sit on finished files, so here it is.

Apophysis with no postwork except frame/font. Name was from all the images of moonlight reflecting off deep water at night, or the shimmering I've seen from underwater photography at night as the light from the boat draws near.

Cool! I like the color and the brightness of it in the middle. I have tried Apophysis but I can't seem to make anything cool with it.. un-installed it.. lol!

Thank you. Yeah, apophysis takes some work to get a unique image. Lots of people using it because it's free and makes good work.

Thanks. I'm a water sign, so I'm naturally drawn towards water. Just wish I could make apo do this more often.

Thanks. Yep, no postwork either. Takes me a while to get images like these, but I think it's worth the frustration.

Thanks, Jim. This was the only image in apo that I can remember using every color control in the program. I even cranked on the gamma and vibrancy.

Prometeus [2004-12-10 02:18:03 +0000 UTC]

Beautiful... I love the sensation of something luminiscent (not sure if it's the right word) moving below the water surface.

Reminds me the first chapters of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, when everybody thought the submarine of Captain Nemo was a cachalot from deep waters, and so luminiscent... Great book, great image.

Aeires In reply to Prometeus [2004-12-10 04:27:36 +0000 UTC]

That's the word. Self illuminated creatures are the coolest.

I couldn't get enough Jules Verne when I was a kid. I remember the show Family Classics that came on each saturday. They would show movies of all the classic novels and that one was in my top 5 faves of the series. Verve was so far ahead of his time.
