Wonderful - I don't think you need the tutorial.
Beautiful rich depth and pale delicate skin like the pearly mistletoe berries.
Favourite.
I do need many tutorials, so if you could direct me to 'EK' I'd be very grateful. XX

hey hey, I don't know you but I was wandering through DA and was completely boggled when i saw a recent work of yours. Everything is stunning, probably because the detail in colour is something I have yet to apply to my work....but still fantastic and I believe this one tops it off. It has such an age old painterly feeling to in in the earthern colours and mysterious mood! Wow, I could stare at this for hours.....have you ever worked with oils or acrylic, because if you applied this colour technique to it I'd drool lol. Regardless please try it, I'm sure youll love working in the mess...or whatever your comfortable with hehe. You'd be right at home I'm sure!
Goodluck and I'll pop back as you have new stuff up!

Hehe, that's the best kind of tutorial - the one that teaches you enough that you feel comfortable going out on your own. This is very nice.. I love the greens, and the style that you did her hair in is really interesting. : ) It's not as smooth as the rest of the piece, but for some reason it works. Nice job.

I agree completely. Its sad she never continued it - at least as far as I know.
Shamefully the pic just came back up because I decided to do a puzzle print - seems that made it appear on the front page again for some reason. Its really a bit older but I'm stil happy for every comment since I love it myself..

not that I know of, sadly...
that was more than interesting. I havn't really heard from her for ages. But I think she's really busy with her fairytale book.

thats cool. it has a very traditional look to it, the way you used the tones reminds me of oil paint. i presume you used painter for this and not photoshop?

adorna In reply to AndrewTunney [2004-12-04 15:24:27 +0000 UTC]
errr... no. its plain photoshop. I sadly never got around to really learn Painter. I played a bit with it but most of the menus confuse me ;D ...
maybe I should try it again..

yeah, i had some issues with it (still do really) but its worth working in cause theres some things you just can't do in photoshop.
