AS you should, otherwise you'd miss out on the awesomeness that is Abraham Lincoln.

Yeah...
If only this guy were president. Then we'd finally annoy the "we-need-a-black-president-for-no-other-reason-than-he's-black" crowd.
Unfortunately, the collective weirdness of the Obamanites was too strong...
Well, at least THIS guy didn't make it in...

Peanut would be an awesome president.
But the problem, you see, is not Obama's fangirls. If McCain won... What if he died?
That's how McCain lost my vote, actually. Admit that is scary as hell.

Naw. Palin's just hated by the leftys(the party, not the hand-people) because she's a pretty, non-blundering politician and they've got stuttering, unappealing hags. I mean, CLINTON. Sweet Jesus, that'd be frightening...
And Pelosi's not exactly "front cover material"; you know what I mean.
Palin is not a dumbass or a "crazy lady" by any means. Just listen to her speeches; does that sound like an over-idealistic dip like the Barackass?
And let's not forget she beat the pants offa Joe Biden in the first ever VP debate, even though Joe's a real talker.
The only things you can nail her for are her crappy interview by Katie Couric and her practice of hunting.

Trust me, my political affiliation has NOTHING to do with my opinion of that woman... *shudder* It is from listening to her speeches that I have formulated my opinion: she IS crazy, and IS a dumbass, but is also very charismatic and knows how to get what she wants. In fact, it is her charisma and power, COMBINED with her lack of an education and over-zealous religious holdings, that makes her dangerous. If she WERE a completely ineffective bimbo, I wouldn't give two shits about her.
As for her hunting, so what? I can shoot a rifle, too, and I'm all for delicious fresh meat. BRING ME THE VENISON.
Barack has lost my respect for various reasons, but whatever.
ANYWAY, THAT'S ENOUGH POLITICS FOR NOW, METHINKS.
(If you want me to back up my argument, I'd be happy to send you links and cite specific examples, but I really don't want our differences in opinion to mess up our BLOSSOMING FRIENDSHIP.)

You know, as a Christian, I believe love is universal, which many adherants of my religion don't, sadly. Which is why I always facepalm myself with those "God hates fags" asshats. How many times did Jesus talk about abortion and gay people- none. Many times did he talk about helping the poor- Over 2000 times is mentioned in the New Testament.
It is also odd to think that the whole "anti-gay" thing came from one line in leviticus, a book FILLED with laws that are considered obsolete, even by traditional-Christian thinkers. It has been AEONS since I threshed my wheat in the way it is described in leviticus. And the whole story of Sodom and Gomorrah is seen by contemporary Christians as an allegory in how a anarchic system of governance as well as amorality causes the collapse of civilisation as we know it.
Don't get me wrong. I also LOVE to hate. Why should I deny myself such a beautiful and passionate emotion that is just as strong as love?
For when Balance is lost. All that is left is the reckoning.

Then you have, as a Christian, earned my respect. While I myself am not (agnosticism: indecision for the win), I really look up to people who can reconcile faith and reason, and who don't use Jesus as an excuse to make other people's lives hell. As badass as Jesus was, he was also a hippe. Much love to Jesus.
And, of course, a little hate is fun on the side. That's why God gave us Twilight.

Well, thank you! I know a lot of people struggle with faith and reason. I was lucky enough to be born in a religious-family of scientists...
I think I have just created some kind of universe-destroying paradox.

i am 100% straight and have a wonderful wife, but i am a huge believer that everyone deserves the love they seek, and gender has nothing to do with it. i am a big believer in gay marriage and gay rights in every way. one of my old best friends was gay and he was one of the most wonderful people on this earth. i want to post this stamp on my list...problem is that i dont know how to do that... i forgot it has been to long. could you help me do so?

Hi, I just randomly read your comment and decided to answer your question. o__O;
You can't post stamps unless you have a deviantART subscription.
If you ever get a subscription, you just go to the deviation, then on the right side is a list of "Share" links. The last one says "Thumb;" copy the code and paste it into your journal.

I have no idea how to post stamps; I just make them. Sorry.
As for me, while I am still uncertain as to what my preference is, a lot of my friends are gay/bisexual, and my little brother recently came out of the closet himself. That kid needs all the support he can get...

more power to you my friend. i hope your exploration into yourself is a good one. and more power to your brother. being true to ourselves is just about the only real freedom we have left i think.
and it is ok about the stamp.. i was just informed that i need a subscription to do it.. so it is out of the cards for me right now. just know i believe in the message ok?
