Nice way of getting a sword. And took a while before I realized that Link was thanking and not trying downward thrust. XD At least he's not weaponless anymore.

If the old man can take a branch and transform it into a wooden sword, why couldn't he take a pebble or a random piece of iron and do the same?
It would make Link's journey a helluva lot easier...

I hope we get to see the old guy again! Maybe make all of the old men that appear in the game the same old man and just help link along the way. xDD

I liked that you had Link rest there for a bit and get to know the old guy a little.
Makes more sense than "here kid have a sword".
