awesome drawing!
although the way her left thigh ends, it leaves the motion of the eye hanging kinda funny.....
keep it UP!

Yeah... I think it may have been a small mistake puting this in the deviation gallery... I think it belongs in the scrap section. A vast of my life drawings are just quicker studies, focusing on bone structure, or light, or negative space, or gestures, etc... I never have a finished composition in mind... Are you talking about the fact that the drawing is so high on the page, or that the thigh ends so suddenly (or both) I personally am an advocate of the concept that sometimes less is more... Thanks for your comments

i definately dig on less is more, my recent work of trees is in that direction.....
but its just the way it ends, its skinnier than the other thigh, and just drew my attention to her "stump" if you will, its a great drawing though, i dig the subtle variations on her back.....
keep it UP!

Yeah... I'm actually a college sophomore Art Major at Northwest College in Powell, WY... I'm planning on transferring to Missoulla, Montana next semester...

why do you want to transfer?
are you a visual arts major or are you concentrating on one specific area of art?

I'm transferring because this is a two year college... I'll have my associates degree in May... I have no idea really what is in store for me in the future... I may get into some hardcore theatre as well... but as of right now, I just call myself an Art Major...

hmm. so you're an actor too? or director?

i'm not too into the whole theatre thing. i do some indy filmmaking though, i took a course on it over the summer at vassar college and i like it a lot. i'm a very good camera woman. and directing is a very good artistic outlet, aswell.

ah, so many options

I'm more along the lines of an actor I think... I actually got the lead in a student film here on campus called "Skate Martin, Private Eye"... it should be fun... I get to be a stereotypical detective and what not... I'm also big into Forensics (also called speech and dabate... does your school have a speech program?... I'm more into the interpretive genres)... I'm actually going to San Fransisco for a speech tournament next Wednesday... yay

well, i'm in highschool, all i know that we have is a speech and debate class and a debate team. we have a really awesome theatre department, though. it's amazing for a highschool actually (it's a private school)... i just work as a techie cuz it's fun and i get community service hours.

what do you mean interpretive genres?

that's so awesome you're going to sanfran for a speech contest! i dont know what that entails though, lol...

Interpretive genres include events like prose (performing a ten minute cutting from a book), duet (A two person performance cut from a piece of drama), Poetry (should be obvious... lol), Dramatic Interpretation (a ten minute cutting from a play script), other invents include debate (yuck) and platfor events like persuasive (self writen ten minute speech), and after dinner speaking (self written ten minute humorous speech). It's pretty cool... I was offered a full ride scholarship to Northern Arizona State because me and my friend were national champions in Duet last year... but sadly i think my speech career has to be over because i need to start focusing on my damn major... sigh
