I don’t know what it is about seeing a kid crying over their dropped ice-cream, it’s somehow really heartbreaking, haha.I guess Sans thought so too, considering he went a little overboard trying to cheer his little brother up by buying lots of packaged ice-cream.

There is something precious about how excited kids are over something so simple as an ice cream cone- and I think it's also because they know they can't just go and get one with being given money first, so they feel the chance is completely gone if it dropped. At least that's my guess

Kids dropping ice-cream? Saddest thing that can happen to a child! They were so happy, and now their whole little mound of happiness has splattered on the floor, leaving them with nothing but the dripping reminders of what they've lost.
Sans is the best big brother, though!

My mom, my little sister and I were at the store, and mom got us each a bag of snackable shrimp from the seafood counter. She knows I love shrimp. As we were walking and eating, I dropped my bag of shrimp. That was ok, I just felt bad cuz it was expensive...my sister was finished with hers and kindly gave me the rest. A few minutes later, I DROPPED THAT ONE TOO. And THAT'S when I broke down crying. I felt like I made everything go wrong in the worst way possible, and I couldn't have my shrimp anymore. It was expensive so mom couldn't buy more but she sympathized with me A LOT.
I'm like, fine now, but my heart still weirdly breaks for that kid version of myself for whom nothing could ever go right that day.
