NOTE THAT THIS IS SORT OF A DIARY - this happened still in fall, before the White December trail.

Katarina climbed higher on the rocks, Vidar behind her. He had a question on mind
not really thinking it would cause trouble.
"if you could. what would you change in your past?"
She made a halt for a second and her voice cracked "everything", she tried hard not to cry.
Kat slipped and clawed the rocks to keep herself from falling.
Vidar jumped a cliff lower and got a hold of her waist "let go..."
She slowly stopped scrambling and let go, her hands clenched into fists.
He turned her gently towards himself and hugged her tightly "You may slap me that was a very dumb question"
But he hugged her tight enough so she couldnt slap him rly hard xD.
"No I'm sorry, I don't....I'm not usually....This never happens", not crying for years she started to sob into his chest.
Vidar stroke back her hair slowly and tried to hug her as protectively as he could.
Staying there like that for a while, he silently told her he needs to know more about her gang,
he wanted to help her making it un-happen. He tried to explain her what kind of contacts he had...
"I'm not going to let you get hurt because of me ", she raised her chin stubbornly.
"You knooooow i am still a little into some criminal business. and i have to say i like killing eerr hunting in general. It's terrible
but everyone has their talents and hobbies"
"You sounded as if you were talking about knitting and being a super dangerous assassin spy"
She tilted her head laughing a bit.
"I have certain contacts who are good at scaring such companies like your gang. it wouldnt be easy but worth a try maybe?"
"Alright. Come with me" She turned and scaled the rest of the boulders before the mountain leveled out on a plateau.
She waited for Vidar before grabbing his hand and leading him around the corner ad squeezing between a large crack
in the rocks before stopping at a small spring with a massive tall waterfall, the water loud and crashing
into the small body of water before leaking out over the side to form another waterfall.

While Vidar was taking in that sight, Kat sneakily made her way into the water.
As soon as he saw her he thought he was in some movie, seeing a mermaid between she shallow waves.
A hint to follow her was in her eyes and he dropped the backpack in the second.
There was something about this woman who was as dangerous as a loaded weapon under the pillow.
He had a feeling like she could kill him anytime she felt like -if he wasnt immortal ish- but that was pretty much of a turnon xD

Once again he felt with her, that his lifestyle, his talents and interests are not disturbing for Kat at all...
More the opposite, he felt like he found his place in life somewhat again, and being the one who would she let close emotionally
was something new to experience.
