The prophecy and omen Lyo was given here:
-TRIGGER WARNING OF BLOODY THINGS-
*****************************************
For Lyo it felt like it happened so fast, fighting against the waves and finally getting ahold of Kat
just before the rope around him would have tightened. He was less concerned about himself
as long as he could keep her above water...
Dying was an awful thing for an immortal, but not ultimately deadly. He drowned before,
he would probably survive it again. Instead, the waves kept pulling both down, and it was
not at all as fast as it seemed to the captain. To Damon it felt like an eternity plus a day
until they were pulled on board again. The fierce brunette lied there lifelessly despite
the tries of chest compressions and to get the water out of her lungs.
Lyo was panicking, feeling his own chest tighten and barely could breathe.
The last thing he could think of, if it was too late to curse her?
He never wanted to tie her to himself like his crew was, blessed or doomed
to serve him til the end of his endless time. Maybe she could somehow
appear to the deity that was responsible for their curse?
It was in his blood...
With one desperate attempt to save her, he made cuts on them
to hold her hand that way. Shakily he was begging her to come back,
praying she would remember the tales of the crew she heard...
Scar knew the day would come and he happily expected Kat in his realm,
what a sweet addition she would be to their undead family.
Not that his expression would give away such good spirits.
Scar asked her in a pale tone "Why do i sense Lyo's blood on
you when you are none of his relatives."
Kat stood in the black water that was the ground of this realm,
staring back at the figure that did not have the face of a stranger.
It was as if she could hear whispers from the other side,
making her straighten her posture "I sail under his flag.
I belong to his crew" she said. Making Scar wonder where
this woman took the courage from to not even be scared
of death. "You do?" he asked almost mockingly,
"So you are his faithful crew member, willing to defend
him as he would defend you, following him until the end of your days?"
"Of course" Kat almost seemed offended about the question,
looking at him in a stingy way.
"In that case, you were saved from a very dark place" Scar
unceremoniously let her sink into the blackness below,
but instead of staying black, it sent her through visions
of the crew she just joined, bloody fights and soul shaking
speeches, scenes she couldn't have known about them,
for she was long not born yet.
Lyo felt a coldness in his chest like the day he died,
Scar's words echoing in his ears,
suddenly he knew who the Turul was that he met at the hunt.
And suddenly it shook his core to be washed over
with vivid memories of his near death experiences.
Damon was not prepared to hear him scream louder
than the waves crashing against his ship, confused what
to do he just tried to hold him closer, wrapping his arms
around him protectively while he seemed to twist in pain.
Only then did he notice that his entire back was not only
wet from water, but also from blood.
