I don't know who Paxton is or what he's from, but I do know that he and Sephiroth would make the best of friends due to their backstories.

I can justify Paxton's actions on 1'st game. He learned the truth and wanted to set his mother free & revenge for her death and his sufferings. Destroy the Armacham and that's it. In fact, I like him a lot. If you were a psyonic who's able to controll the whole army would you behave another way? He wasn't insane. This is the fact I enjoy the most. Canniballism is a tool of information absorbing, I can accept it.
On the other hand, I can't Justify Sephiroth for his wish of destroying the whole world because humans killed ancients blablabla. But again, I accept he could have gona mad and Genova influence was strong too. He didn't have anything to fight for any longer. The part I like about Crisis core: even his friends turned into foes. This hapens in real life. Poor guy.

Sephiroth wanted to destroy the whole world because humans killed ancients?
I thought humans worshiped ancients.
And Sephiroth learned that humans were only leading the Planet towards destruction. He learned that his Mother came to the Planet to claim it as hers. So it was Sephiroth's mission to injure the Planet, using Meteor, so he could absorb the Lifestream and become the God, then he would use it to create a new, better Planet - the Promised Land, where he and all his brothers and sisters could live happily.

He wanted to "travel with mother" as i remember.
Anyway, I don't like the attitude "kill all the humans because corporation created you were jackasses". He's 30-something, not 14

Sephiroth never cared about killing humans, he wanted the Lifestream to become a God.
He killed Aerith because of her Materia and powers.
And he destroyed Nibelheim because he wanted all proof about the experiments to be destroyed.

Nah, he burned Nibelheim in a blind rage. Otherwise he'd start from the mantion and destroy all monsters in the reactor tubes.
