commissioned work. a scene from a book written by
it's a comedy adventure set in a dieselpunk setting inspired by Europe between the two world wars, the story is about a bunch of fugitives from a penal regiment trying to steal a giant airship to escape from a city besieged by mysterious invaders from another dimension. in this scene the characters are set in the dream world with each of the doors in the corridor leading to the dreams of a specific character.

Very well illustrated. The light, however, creates an odd effect. Instead of shining on the figures, it seems to pass through them from behind, illuminating them as it might wax candles. I'm wondering if this is partly an effect of the blending mode - "multiply"? It applies to both pairs of figures with different colored light.

I can only agree with what everyone is saying - amazing use of lighting, it really breathes life into the picture. The characters are great, of course, very close to what I personally envisioned. Great work, as always ;D
