Now this is much better than the previous fractal. Only thing that is really worth mentioning (besides praise) is that the less important directions (northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest) are brighter than the cardinal directions. 'S not a big problem, though.

Nice one again, how long did this take you to render....It takes me around 4-8 hours on some of mine at 2048x1536 with 1meg of ram!

Thank you
Ready for this?
As I only post them either here or Rendo I don't render big as I see no need tbh. I always tend to render at 800x800 or for the 'watchstrap' series 800x600 so at Q1000 Rad 0.4 an O/s 2 they take 4mins My thinking being I can always render them for printing later if I want.
Saying that, I have been considering a larger render and reduce it and use some post processing, like unsharp mask now that I understand it better from my photography, just to see how it affects the final quality.

Yep you're dead right! Wow 800x800 ! I think they have to be just spot on to make a good render at that size!

Just punched in 2048x2048 with the same quality etc settings and the renderer reports it would take 22mins. That's with Win2K SP4, 1.5GB RAM on an Athlon 64

Lol Just re-read your spec - surely you mean 1GB RAM and not 1MB or you mean 128Mb?
