You can reverse one of the images and use a little mirror if you have trouble crossing your eyes.

Its wonerful work like this which give me the urge to travel into space, but I cannot. Brilliant view. Looks more photo like than digitally created.

Man, that is a really good idea. I'll be looking foward to your attempt at it with a nebula, that should be cool. Now I'm in the mood for some SIRDS. *goes and kills his eyes looking at them*

Thanks man. Yeah, I'm gonna try it with a nebbula but it'll be extremely hard. We'll see what happens.

^ nevermind about the eyestrain. Keeping a good distance from the screen actually improves clarity AND ease. Some nice depth in this one, especially with the sun/small moon in the light.

Oh man, I tried it but it didn\'t work at the beginning, then I \"practiced\" with artbytheo\'s pirctures and I got it. Now its working with your image, too. Pretty awesome effect. Try to do this with a nebula next time. I think it would be even better!
Really nice work.

Thanks a lot man. I think this technique holds a lot of potential for space art, but it's tricky to do and unfortunately not everyone can see it. Glad you figured it out though! And yeah, I'm definitely trying this with a neb sometime soon. It'll be hard, but the results should be worthwile. Thanks a lot for your comment, oh and ehmm, I want you to know I'm ejoying the starlit sky project you've got going on. Not often do you see a starfield being the sole feature of a piece. I think it's really interesting, so keep up the good work!

It gets easier once you've done it once. Try to look at your finger while holding it at about a fourth the distance between your eyes and the screen. Somewhere at that distance you should the images from your left and right eye merge in the center of the picture. Now when you remove your finger, the image is probably unsharp. If you can't get it sharp then try blinking while keeping your eyes in the same, cross-eyed position. If it doesn't work for you then that is too bad I guess. Don't feel obliged to keep trying. I know it can hurt if you keep your eyes like that for too long.

You can do it up close, you just have to cross your eyes a lot more. But yeah, you're right, it's a lot more comfortable to do it from a distance.

Too bad too bad. You know this could also be really amazing in matte painting, but that doesn't really matter if you can't see it I guess. Thanks for trying though
